We thoroughly enjoyed being with family and friends for the holidays.  On Christmas Eve, we spent the night with Lindsey and her family at their place in the country, about 80 miles from ours.  The rural church was filled with poinsettias and we sang hymns and worshipped on Christmas Eve.

As I was decorating our Christmas tree at the ranch this week, it was fun to reflect on our family ornaments, many of which were made by our children.  Even though our tree will never win a decorating contest, all our ornaments are family friendly and inexpensive.  It’s a good

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.  I love planning and cooking the meal and having friends and family with whom to share it.  Typically we spend the holidays at the ranch where we have a large kitchen and room for a crowd.  I enjoy baking bread, pies, turkey and all the

Hopefully each of you had the opportunity to rest from your labors and enjoy a long weekend with family and friends.  We were delighted that our son, Walker, who is a first year law student at SMU could join us at the ranch along with our daughter, Lindsey, her husband
