Thank You for a Wonderful 133rd Congress!

Pamela Wright, President General

I hope you all found last night’s National Defense Night as inspiring as I did. It was an honor to be around such important women and men who have served our country with such staunch bravery and servitude. Recognizing our own Marjorie Stone, WWII Veteran and DAR member, was such a special highlight.

Today, we close out our official Congress activities with this morning’s Memorial Service, followed by the Installation Ceremony for the new State Regents and State Vice Regents and the newly elected Vice Presidents General and Honorary Vice Presidents General:

Vice Presidents General:

Anna Baird Choi (NC)
Deborah "Debbie" Boshart Duay (FL)
Patrice Renee Donnelly (AL)
Kelly Lynn VanWormer (MI)
Betty Brown Harrah (GA)
Elizabeth Gable Hicks (DC)
Bonnibel Glasgow Moffat (SC)

Honorary Vice Presidents General:

Jean Whatley Vaughan (AL)
Maureen Dougherty Tipton (MD)
Nancy Garrison Hemmrich (TN)
Shari K. Thorne-Sulima (DC)

Congratulations to these members!

Once we adjourn the 133rd Continental Congress, the National Board of Management will attend their luncheon, and then have a meeting discussing plans for the next year of meaningful DAR work!

It has truly been a joy to spend this past week with you all, learning new things, mingling with Daughters from across our beautiful nation, and Celebrating Stars and Stripes Forever! Thank you all for making the 133rd Congress the best one to date!

Safe travels for everyone as you journey home, and I look forward to seeing you next year for the 134th Continental Congress from June 25 to June 29, 2025.
