It was a very productive first week of the Young Administration as the new Executive Officers truly hit the ground running right after installation on June 30th.  Following a luncheon, the National Board of Management approved a motion to recommend to the 123rd Continental Congress for ratification

What a delight it was to participate in the Fourth of July parade in our nation’s capital!  The DAR members and guests walked down Constitution Avenue passing by the National Archives, Smithsonian Museum, Washington Monument and the White House, enthusiastically waving flags.  The Washington Monument was a dramatic and patriotic backdrop
