Today's DAR
The DAR Today Podcast Committee is proud to announce the launch of a brand new, monthly broadcast– the DAR Today Podcast! This new show will be a fun and easy to understand way for the members and the public to learn more about DAR and our patriotic activities. The podcast will feature:
- Highlights of DAR activities on all levels of our organization, from local chapters to national events, to our Units Overseas.
- Segments about historic patriotic events & holidays, their significance and how listeners might get more involved in their local communities.
- Interviews with DAR Committee Chairs, allowing them to highlight the work of their committees, celebrating any contest winners they might have.
- Stories of our patriot ancestors, of significant women in American history and other historic American stories of interest to all of us – and more!
Our inaugural episode (available now) features an interview with our President General Pamela Rouse Wright and with DAR School National Chair Dawn Crumly Lemongello as well as a feature story of DAR members' participation in the Independence Day Parade in Washington D.C.!
One note of interest: during the Wright administration we will always offer this podcast in two ways: as a video with pictures and graphics on the screen and also as an audio podcast where you can simply listen. The video version of the podcast can be found on our national YouTube
