It’s Starting to Look Like Christmas at DAR Headquarters

November 25, 2013

Although it is not yet Thanksgiving and we are quite a few weeks away from Christmas, our wonderful Property Beautification and Hospitality committee has begun decorating DAR Headquarters for Christmas and the Open House.

This year the DAR Christmas Open House is being held December 4 from 5:30-8 PM, I hope you will invite your friends, family, neighbors and fellow DAR members who live near Washington, D.C., to join us for this festive evening.

A new feature for this year’s Open House is a book drive! Visitors who attend the Open House are encouraged to bring new and lightly used children’s book which we will donate to those less fortunate in collaboration with Books for America. I believe this will be a wonderful way to help get into the spirit of the giving season!

The Christmas Open House is a fantastic event in which we welcome the local community to our beautiful Headquarters and tell them a little bit more about our organization.

Thank you to the hard working members of the Property Beautification and Hospitality committee for making our Headquarters look beautiful! I hope you will enjoy these photos of the Christmas decorations going up around the building.
