Celebrate 125 Years of DAR

Presley Wagoner, Honorary President General and National Chair of the Celebrate 125! Committee

In 2015, our beloved National Society will celebrate its Quasquicentennial…125 years of devoted and dedicated service to the Nation.  The year-long commemoration will be observed throughout 2015, with the grandest celebratory kick-off events planned for Continental Congress that year.  Make plans now to visit your National Headquarters buildings, June 24-28, 2015, and be a part of this historic occasion.  Enjoy dynamic speakers, wonderful entertainment, special exhibits, exciting events designed especially to include all Congress attendees, and purchase lovely commemorative items and keepsakes that you will treasure for many years to come.

States and Chapters are encouraged to join in the celebration by starting now to plan commemorative events in local communities throughout the country.

The Quasquicentennial is a time for reflecting on past accomplishments…on our Founders and all those prescient women, who worked diligently through the years to preserve our American heritage and way of life for future generations.  It is a time for recognizing members of today’s DAR…those who continue to give generously and unselfishly of themselves to promote historic preservation, education and patriotism.  It is also a marvelous opportunity to raise public awareness of DAR and the positive impact our organization has had in this country for 125 years.

Let’s all join together in 2015 to make “Celebrate 125!” the best commemoration ever!
