Announcing the Exciting Redesign of the DAR Website!

Pamela Wright, President General

The Wright Administration is thrilled to unveil the newly redesigned DAR Website! This update brings a fresh look, simplified navigation, and improved functionality—all designed to better serve you, as well as our public audience. Rest assured, all the information you rely on remains available, just with a modernized design to make finding what you need easier than ever.

Since the last comprehensive DAR Website redesign a decade ago, the previous website required improvement to provide more intuitive navigation and to meet the evolving needs of our thriving organization.

Goals of the website redesign:

  • Modernized Design: A fresh, improved look with updated colors and cohesive visual elements that reflect our mission.
  • Improved Navigation: Cleaner menus, more logical organization, and multiple ways to readily access information.
  • Enhanced Engagement: Rotating features that encourage exploration about the DAR and its mission, with clear pathways to important content, making it easy to find and read.
  • Accessibility: A design tailored for all users, from first-time visitors to our dedicated members.

What has changed on the website?

Some of the new features include:

  • New menu terminology on the public website, to better organize the information and make it easier to find
  • Blue and red color-coded menus to distinguish the public website from the members’ section
  • Streamlined dropdown menus across the site that are easier to see and use
  • New states & chapter officer resource webpages on the members’ section to place links to essential resources in one spot
  • The Forms area of the members’ section now includes new categories and enhanced tagging functionality to speed access to the right form
  • More creative formatting to make information easier to read and find

What’s Staying the Same?

  • All Content is Intact: The information you rely on is still available in the same places—it’s just presented in a more intuitive, visually appealing way.
  • Existing Links Work: All URLs will redirect seamlessly, so you won’t lose access to any resources, your bookmarks will still work!
  • Support is Available: Our DAR Help Desk volunteers remain ready to assist with questions at [email protected] or click on the Help Link.

We extend special thanks to Executive Liaison Sherry Edwards, the NSDAR Tech Support Committee under the guidance of National Chair Lynne Evans and the DAR Public Relations Department, especially Amanda DeFrancesco, for their leadership of this important effort.

We invite you to visit the redesigned website and explore all it has to offer! Dive into the improved navigation, experience firsthand how much easier it is to find what you’re looking for, and enjoy learning more about the DAR!
