The 124th Arizona State Conference was a memorable celebration of service, friendship, and the enduring legacy of the Daughters who came before us. As the State Society commemorates its 125th anniversary, founded in 1901 while Arizona was still a territory, Daughters gathered from across the state to conduct business and celebrate the remarkable impact our Society continues to make in communities throughout Arizona.
Conference activities began on Thursday with a special visit to the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation Cultural Center and Museum. Arizona Daughters enjoyed an educational tour led by Cultural Coordinator Clissene Lewis. Through stories the Yavapai history and journey, attendees gained a deeper appreciation for the rich heritage of Arizona and the importance of preserving and sharing these stories for future generations.
Friday provided opportunities for both learning and fellowship. Visiting State Regents from Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee toured Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin West, experiencing one of Arizona's most significant historic landmarks.
