Junior Membership 5K - Step Forward in Service

2026 5K honors Nancy Ward (Nanye’hi)

Each spring, our members lace up their shoes for more than just a race — they step forward in service. The NSDAR Junior Membership 5K has become a meaningful tradition that brings members together across states and chapters in support of the mission of the Helen Pouch Memorial Fund. Whether participants run, walk, bike, swim, or cheer from the sidelines, this event reflects the energy, commitment, and creativity of our Juniors. New this year, we are offering a kids’ registration tier - so you can bring them along, too. You can register HERE. All members and even non-members are welcome to join!

The 2026 5K honors Nancy Ward (Nanye’hi), a woman remembered for her courage, leadership, and devotion to her people. By connecting physical activity with historical remembrance, our Juniors are creating a dynamic way to engage members of all ages while highlighting women whose stories deserve continued recognition.

Junior Membership 5K - Remember the Ladies

This initiative is entirely self-funded through registrations, with medals designed to commemorate the honoree and create a cohesive theme across the administration. Participants from across the country will gather in their local communities, demonstrating that even when we are miles apart, we remain united in purpose.

The Junior Membership 5K is more than a race. It is an invitation to fellowship, to healthy living, to historical reflection, and to joyful service. It is a reminder that when Juniors lead, they do so with heart, excellence, and an enduring commitment to the principles that define our Society.

We look forward to another inspiring year on "the course."
