DOC Mock Up

Connect! Share! Engage! Are you one of the 15,000 members currently accessing the Daughters Online Community or DOC? Maybe you’ve heard of us but haven’t logged in before. Well, now is the perfect time to join, as the DOC has recently been introduced as its own standing committee in the Storage Administration.

The DOC is a secure platform that enables members to ask questions, engage in meaningful discussions with committee and executive leadership, share resources, and participate in mentoring experiences. Within our three mission pillars of historic preservation, education, and patriotism, there really is a community for every member! Let’s take a look at a few and see if there is a community of interest for you.

Curious about how to write a grant for your historic preservation project? The Historic Preservation Committee has a community where they discuss tips and have hosted a Zoom event on grant writing. Looking for a quick service in seconds project to support veterans? The DAR Service for Veterans Committee has launched a new project to streamline birthday card requests and the list of Veterans who need cards. Please check out their community for more information. One of our latest communities also happens to be a new kid on the block as a committee. Please visit the Education Commission community to learn more about their mission. Each community also features a library to store resources such as flyers, presentations, newsletters and important forms.

Beyond the standing national committees, there are a host of other communities on the DOC. Our genealogy groups are very popular. We have communities to support chapter and state officer roles as well as special interest groups. We have an interest group community for Daughters on active duty or who are Veterans called Serving the Nation. Another personal favorite is the crafting group, where members exchange ideas for conference centerpieces or service projects called Red, White & Glue.

Help Feature Mock Up

If I have piqued your interest and you are ready to get started, one of the easiest ways to find us is through the Members’ Website. There are two opportunities on the Members' Website home page to connect with the community: by clicking Member Community in the red bar at the top of the page or by clicking in the far-right panel labeled Community.

Questions? We've constructed a Quick Start Guide to help you get logged in,  get your profile set up, and even manage your e-mail before starting your first conversation. The Quick Start Guide is available on the Daughters Online Community Committee Members’ Website page.

Don’t forget, we’re here to help.  At the top of the community, there's a HELP tab. We have lots of tutorials, frequently asked questions, and a way to contact us with your ideas, suggestions, and questions. There are so many exciting things to come. You're going to want to join the DOC now, so you don't miss any of the fun as we Illuminate Our Legacy.
