Alyssa True - 2025 DAR Outstanding Junior Member

What an inspiring evening we shared at last night’s Education Night. It was truly heartwarming to witness the promise of our nation’s future reflected in the achievements and aspirations of such exceptional students.

Please join me in once again offering heartfelt congratulations to our 2025 DAR Outstanding Junior Member, Alyssa True and Runner up Gwendolyn Parks. Your remarkable contributions at such a young age have already made a lasting impact on our Society, and we look forward with great anticipation to all you will accomplish in the years ahead.

Today’s Business Session promises to be a meaningful one, featuring reports from our dedicated State Regents and the nominations of Candidates for Executive Office and Vice President General. Later, I am delighted to attend the Education Luncheon and to celebrate the generosity of our supporters at the Celebration of DAR Philanthropy. We are also excited to share that during her report yesterday, Historian General Suzanne Heske, announced an online exhibit detailing the history of over beloved Memorial Continental Hall. You can view the exhibit here: https://MemorialContinentalHall.dar.org.

We will conclude this full and fulfilling day with one of my favorite events—Sparkle in Service Night, held from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. on the ballroom level of the JW Marriott. This vibrant gathering is a shining celebration of one of our Society’s core pillars: Service. From “service in seconds” projects to exploring our many dynamic national committees, there are countless opportunities for every Daughter to find her place and purpose.

This come-and-go event is free and open to all—please stop by and let your service shine. I can’t wait to see our Daughters sparkle tonight!
