Lisa Parks, Missouri State Regent

What a warm welcome from the Missouri Daughters for the 2025 State Conference in beautiful Branson! Your smiles and spirited patriotism made the weekend a celebration of sisterhood, service, and the enduring spirit of the DAR. My heartfelt thanks to State Regent Lisa Parks for her outstanding leadership, to Hilary Fisk for graciously providing transportation, and to Page Julia Jackson for her kind assistance throughout the weekend. Every event reflected the “Love of Country in the Heart of America,” and I was truly inspired by your dedication to our DAR mission.

Missouri State Visit

What a fantastic time we had at the Missouri Daughters of the American Revolution State Conference in April 2025! The Heart of America was brimming with patriotic spirit as we welcomed our President General, Pamela Wright, to Branson for a jam-packed weekend of celebration, connection, and inspiration. With our theme, “Love of Country in the Heart of America,” guiding us, the conference was a heartfelt nod to our shared mission. Here’s the scoop on President General Wright’s visit!

The fun kicked off with the State Chair’s Reception, where President General Wright brought her warm energy to a lively crowd. This wasn’t your average reception—picture Daughters laughing, mingling, and diving into games with fun prizes! From State Regent trivia to playful challenges, the room buzzed with excitement. President General Wright jumped right in, chatting with members and setting a joyful tone for the weekend.

The National Defense Luncheon was another highlight, featuring Missouri Daughter Jennifer Langevei, a retired FBI officer. Jennifer’s gripping tales of service and insights on national security left us in awe, tying perfectly to our mission of honoring those who protect our freedoms. President General Wright joined us, praising Jennifer’s message and reinforcing DAR’s support for our nation’s defenders.

Next, we savored the Ice Cream Social, a delightful meet-and-greet where Missouri Daughters got some one-on-one time with President General Wright. Over scoops of creamy goodness, she shared stories, listened to members’ ideas, and made everyone feel like old friends. It was a sweet way to connect, and her down-to-earth charm had us all smiling as we bonded over sprinkles and patriotism.

That evening, the Chapter Regents Club Dinner shone a spotlight on Missouri’s rockstar chapters. President General Wright posed for photos with representatives from every chapter achieving 100% participation in the President General’s Project—a huge win! The room hummed with pride as we celebrated their commitment to historic preservation, education, and patriotism. Her encouraging words made each snapshot a treasure.

The grand finale was the Opening Session, where President General Wright delivered a keynote address that had us hanging on every word. With passion and poise, she delivered a beautiful address that emphasized the shared values of all Daughters, and updated us on the activities at DAR Headquarters. Missouri Daughters were proud to present Mrs. Wright with a cookbook autographed by Missouri’s First Lady, and a charming portrait of Mrs. Wright adorned with plenty of “Sparkle!” along with a donation to the President General’s Project.

President General Wright’s visit was a perfect blend of fun, inspiration, and unity. From ice cream scoops to heartfelt speeches, she reminded us why we’re proud to be Daughters. Here’s to keeping the “Love of Country” alive in Missouri!
