Register for the 2025 NSDAR Junior Membership 5k

Members are remembering the ladies thanks to the 2025 NSDAR Junior Membership 5k. Now in its sixth year, this virtual 5k is a crucial tool to engage members while supporting the Helen Pouch Memorial Fund (HPMF). This event is a great way to involve your family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, pets, and more in the work of DAR. Make sure to register for this year's event before April 15, 2025!

Whether or not you are able to complete the virtual race, your registration and generous donations ensure the strength of the HMPF. Last year’s race raised over $150,000 and made possible education-related initiatives such as the Classroom Grants Program, support of DAR Schools, and the National Junior Committee Project.

The race also ties into the mission areas of the National Society through its three-year theme, which focuses on celebrating the contributions of women to the American Revolution throughout the Wright Administration. The race name, “Remember the Ladies,” comes from a line written by Abigail Adams in a letter to her husband, John Adams. As we race towards America’s 250th anniversary, we need your help to answer Abigail’s call.

This year, the Junior Membership 5k brings to light the story of Leonor Delgado, a Patriot from Spanish America (Texas), who sold her cattle to help feed Bernardo de Galvez and his troops. Leonor follows the celebration of the women of the Edenton Tea Party and Polly Cooper. When registering, you can opt to receive a race medal honoring Leonor. The race medals have been designed with the three-year race theme in mind. When placing this year's fan-shaped medal with the last two years' medals, they will form a circle. If you missed either of the last two events, we are opening up registration for these events one final time. You can travel back in time to collect the 2023 and 2024 medals now through April 15, 2025. Once registration ends, these medals will never be offered again.

In addition to medals, we also have race shirts and pet bandanas available for purchase as a fundraiser through Custom Ink. All sales of these items will go to HPMF. This virtual 5k is truly like nothing else the National Society offers, and not only gives back to our communities but also provides an opportunity to include others in supporting the work of the National Society. Juniors challenge you to help us make sure we have the highest number of participants in race history. Challenge your chapter and DAR friends to participate! Recruit your family to register! Publicize in your community at your church, school, or fitness center! All registrants (whether DAR members or not) help us get closer to our goal of 3,200 participants.

Prefer not to participate in the 5k, but still want to support the Helen Pouch Memorial Fund? You can donate through the race registration page! Donations made through the race portal will now be counted towards NSDAR giving levels.
