The Wyoming State Visit

Lindsey Taylor Groves, Wyoming State Regent

What a warm and gracious welcome from our wonderful Wyoming Daughters.  I was truly delighted to take part in the Wyoming State Society Fall Fling, where the theme "Inspire, Sparkle, and Grow" laid the foundation for an enjoyable weekend. WY Daughters led such informative sessions and workshops that enriched our time together. Wholehearted thanks to State Regent Lindsey Taylor Groves for her wonderful hospitality; Shelly Trumbull and Cathy Suazo for whisking me around, and to my personal page, Kristen Trumbull, for her attentive assistance. Your kindness made this gathering all the more special!

- Pamela Wright, President General

The Wyoming State Society Fall Fling was a joyous event that brought together members and President General Pamela Rouse Wright for a weekend filled with inspiration, camaraderie, and growth. The event theme of "Inspire, Sparkle, and Grow" set the tone for a series of engaging workshops that covered topics such as Pins and Sashes, the DAR Leadership Committee, and various chapter and state offices. Wyoming Daughters showcased their dedication and service by sharing updates on their chapters and offices, culminating in a celebration of their achievements with the receiving of 100% Participation Certificates for the President General’s Project.

The Fall Fling, held in Casper, Wyoming, kicked off with a delightful lunch at the Casper Country Club, where President General Wright was warmly welcomed. The evening brought together the President General, State Regent, Honorary State Regents, and Daughters for a delectable dinner at the popular local restaurant, Firerock Steakhouse, featuring the finest Wyoming-grown beef and scrumptious crème brulee.

The event also provided an opportunity for members to learn more about donation options at the Office of Development table, where Development Specialist Jennifer Cronin shared valuable information. The following day started with the Fall Board of Management meeting, where state officers and Chapter Regents provided updates and engaged in essential business discussions. President General Wright graced the gathering with her greetings before the workshops resumed, offering insightful sessions on various topics, including a workshop by Honorary State Regent Darla Teter that delved into the distinctions between Standing Rules and Bylaws.

A delicious luncheon allowed for meaningful interactions between the President General and Wyoming Daughters, followed by an enjoyable shopping excursion for President General Wright at the famed Lou Talbert Ranch Outfitters in downtown Casper. The evening was capped off with a photo session, where Daughters had the opportunity to capture moments with the President General and hear her inspiring words on the DAR's commitment to service and friendship.

As the Fall Fling came to a close, Wyoming Daughters were invigorated by their time with Mrs. Wright and looked forward to continuing their service with renewed vigor and dedication. They were excited to carry forward the spirit of inspiration, sparkle, and growth in their DAR journey and communities.
