The Office of Development hosted a Heritage Club and Donor breakfast on Saturday morning and highlighted the important building upgrades that have been completed as a result of generous donations. The Insignia Pop-Up Shop was a must stop destination to pick up new pins to showcase our donations, service and leadership accomplishments.
The August Board of Management meeting showcased state officer and state committee chair reports that promoted new committee contests, programs and events. August 2024 marks 130 years since Mary Green Montgomery Slocum was confirmed by the National Board of Management as the first state regent of Colorado.
I announced the fulfillment of the State Regent’s Project to fund the digitization of 177,000 historic marker records, Phase 1 of the Historian General’s project. To commemorate this project milestone, Mrs. Wright was presented with a “big check” in the amount of $26,000. A second State Regent’s Project was approved which will promote literacy and encourage all Colorado chapters to pursue an America 250! Celebration grant. At the conclusion of the meeting, Mrs. Wright presented President General Project 100% Project Completion certificates to over 40 chapters. Well done Colorado Daughters!
