Research Around the States with the DAR Library

Stephanie Tuszynski, DAR Library Director

The DAR Library is beginning our fall speaker series with a return of Research Around the States. This series features DAR library staff and DAR genealogy staff members with special subject matter expertise talking about how to approach doing genealogy research in a specific state. Past states include Connecticut, New York, and Pennsylvania.

This September, Andrew Boisvert, the Library’s Technical Services and Collections Coordinator, will be giving a talk on Rhode Island, covering history and migration patterns, important genealogy resources, and tips and tricks for Rhode Island research.

The event is on Wednesday, September 27th at 12p.m. at the DAR Headquarters building. Admission is free but registration is requested. You can register for this event here.

The talk will also be recorded and posted to the DAR website here. You can also find past Research Around the States lectures at the link, as well as our series on Immigration and Naturalization Papers, and the spring lecture on Mount Vernon by Mary Thompson. Please follow us on Facebook for updates on the Library and our events.
