GEP March Madness Special

Rhonda Kren, Registrar General

We’ve all heard of Shakespeare’s quote referring to the “green eyed monster” and to “be green with envy”, which usually indicates a nasty case of jealousy but in the world of genealogy, green represents the promises of growth! Expand your genealogy techniques by signing up for a GEP course!

Now available at the DAR Store for purchase are green honor cords to award your members who have graduated from the Genealogical Education Program (GEP) courses.

To purchase green GEP honor cords, see Graduate Honor Cords at the DAR store, they are $2.25 each.

Each time a member completes a course within our Genealogical Educational Program (GEP), it has long term positive effects by revitalizing your chapter and encouraging growth. The classes provide registrars and members with the necessary tools for preparing applications, writing analyses, using the electronic version of eAPPs, learning how to become a mid-level reviewer to aid in the verification process of eAPPs and MORE!

The NSDAR Genealogy Department has created and maintains seven Genealogical Education Programs (GEP 1-7). They provide the most complete and up-to-date information on the proper completion and documentation standards required for the verification of applications. The courses are available to all DAR members. The member is responsible for the cost of each course.

March Madness Special: GEP 1, 2, 3, and DNA courses purchased in the month of March will be on sale for a buy one course and receive the second one free.
