Ho! Ho! Ho! Holiday Shopping at DAR!
DAR Store
The DAR Store has many great gift options, including the 2021 Christmas Ornament, DAR Beanie Hat, Red Fleece Vest and Our Patriots Coloring Book (which you can learn more about here). Check out all offerings in the New Products, Novelties & Gifts and VanBuren Administration sections on our webpage. We offer great gifts that help to promote not only our National Society but also American history (check out our Publications tab). Please note that your orders must be placed by December 13 in order to be received in time for Christmas gift giving (barring any delays via USPS, FedEx or UPS). Explore our website for plenty of thoughtful items that will please members and non-members alike.
DAR Museum Shop
The DAR Museum Shop also has many great gift options! Highlights include teas and spices from a South Carolina company focused on recreating historical teas; wool felt ornaments that are fair trade and support sustainable traditional crafting techniques; and scarves reproduced from those in the DAR Museum collection by a woman-owned company in Virginia. Again, all orders must be placed by December 13 to arrive in time (and if transportation is not delayed).
DAR Insignia Store
The ideal way to give the gift of DAR is to purchase a Gift Certificate from the DAR Insignia Store, which is available here with a few short clicks of your mouse: https://shop.dar.org/giftcertificates.php. Is there a special pin you’d like to add to your own collection? Create a Wish List by clicking the “Add to Wish List” button for any item – then share your list with friends and family!
The Daughters Tribute
Honor the special Daughters who have inspired your DAR journey by recognizing them with a Daughters Tribute. Showcased on the National Society’s Digital Donor Wall, this innovative online digital database provides the perfect platform to honor the more than one million women who have nurtured and sustained the DAR since our founding. Proceeds benefit the Guardian Trust Endowment, which supports the preservation, restoration and conservation of our beautiful historic home. And best of all? Every donation you make is applied to your Heritage Club cumulative credit.
President General’s Project Donor Wall
And for those who seem to have everything, consider making a donation in their honor. It is a great way to show you care while supporting our important mission. Make a donation of $300 or more to the President General’s Project, DAR Constitution Hall: The Next Act to feature their name, along with a special message on the President General’s Donor Wall www.dar.org/PGDonorWall in time for the 131st Continental Congress. The DAR Constitution Hall: The Next Act Donor Wall, located in the Hall of Honor at DAR Headquarters, recognizes those members whose generous donations support combining historic preservation with the latest in technology and the highest in safety standards in order to make our National Historic Landmark once again one of the most beautiful and desirable performing arts venues in Washington, D.C.
American Spirit Subscription
Giving a subscription to the award-winning American Spirit is a thoughtful way to recognize friends and family that will be a joy to receive in their mailbox all year long. American Spirit is an award-winning publication focused on American history, historic preservation and genealogy. At only $18 for a one-year subscription, this beautifully illustrated publication is the perfect gift for a great value! Magazine subscriptions purchased by January 1 will begin with the March/April 2022 issue. www.dar.org/Subscribe
