What’s that bright light in the sky? It’s the DAR Membership Challenge signal!
Grab your capes, Daughters! The DAR Membership Committee is calling on all members to join in the 2020NE Challenge!
During the 2020NE calendar year, we are challenging each member to bring ONE new member into a chapter. It’s that simple – ONE new member by ONE Daughter! Of course, there is no need to stop at just ONE. Feel free to bring in as many as you would like!
Intrigued? Let’s do this!
- To qualify, a member must recruit at least ONE new member into a chapter during the 2020NE calendar year.
- The new member is not required to join the recruiting member’s chapter. She may become a member in any chapter and in any state.
- The new member must be voted into a DAR chapter during any of the National Boards in 2020NE (January – December).
- For this challenge, recruitment is defined as a member introducing a prospective member to DAR and recommending her to join a specific chapter. It does not include application preparation, lineage research, or other duties falling within a member’s DAR position, such as State Application Team Volunteer or State Membership Committee Chair.
- Members must notify the assigned person in their chapter once the recruited prospective becomes a member.
- Chapters will recognize members that meet the challenge.
- Regents and registrars of chapters that have 100% member participation or the equivalent will be invited to a reception with the President General during the 131st Continental Congress in 2022.
