A Constitutional Conversation at DAR Constitution Hall

Denise Doring VanBuren, President General

I am excited to tell you about an upcoming program at DAR Constitution Hall exclusively for our DAR members!

View A Video Invitation from the President General

On the evening of Wednesday, February 26, we are proud to be hosting an entertaining and educational conversation about the U.S. Constitution in our very own DAR Constitution Hall. We will be joined by Judge Douglas H. Ginsburg, a national authority on the U. S. Constitution with 30 years of experience on the Federal Court of Appeals. Judge Ginsburg is the host of a new three-part documentary airing on PBS titled, “A More or Less Perfect Union.” This series explores the founding document that governs those who govern us, delving into past, present and future struggles for liberty through the lens of the U.S. Constitution.

DAR Members across the country have always been some of the strongest proponents for raising awareness of and appreciation for our U.S. Constitution, which makes me so pleased to invite all DAR members who are able to join us in Washington, D.C., on February 26 at 7:15 pm for this special program. The event is FREE, and members are allowed to bring guests, but reservations are required.

We are thrilled to welcome Judge Ginsburg to DAR Constitution Hall and I look forward to leading a conversation with him as he shares with us the importance and relevancy of the Constitution today as well as shows us clips from the documentary.

While DAR is not specifically featured in the documentary series itself, our organization was invited to participate in the coffee table book that serves as a companion to the documentary. Voices of Our Republic includes 75 full-color photos and features inspiring thoughts about the Constitution from a range of personalities, and I’m proud to represent the DAR in the book. Signed copies of the book will be for sale starting at the February 26 event and subsequently available from the DAR Store.

We are purposely keeping the event an intimate affair exclusively for DAR members and their guests in order to show appreciation for the incredible dedication of our Daughters both in helping to educate about our U.S. Constitution across the country, as well as your generous support in preserving our historic DAR Constitution Hall. Seating is limited, so make sure to take advantage of this unique opportunity and reserve your free tickets now here: https://dar-constitutional-conversation.eventbrite.com

We hope to see you on February 26 at DAR Constitution Hall for a Constitutional Conversation!
