Help DAR Gather Compelling Member Photos

We need your help! A great way to spread the sparkle of Today’s DAR is by showcasing vibrant member photos on our website, social media and other promotional efforts. To keep those photos current and relevant, we are reaching out to you, our members who are carrying out all of the incredible DAR initiatives in your local communities.

Help us restock our member photos by sending YOUR photos of DAR chapter events, service projects, or fun group photos with your fellow DAR members. We encourage you to submit high quality or professional photos of members in action.

By submitting your photos, you agree to allow the National Society to use them in any future print, video or online materials. Photos must be high resolution, clear, well-lit and compelling. We cannot use any photo that is grainy or pixilated.

You do not need a Dropbox account – just click the link and then the blue “Add Files” button to upload your photos from your device. Dropbox will ask for your name and email address; then simply click the blue “Upload” button. It may take a few minutes for your files to finish uploading, but we promise; it’s easy and quick to do!

And introducing…

Professional Member Photoshoot Series – On Location!

We are also excited to announce a new series of professional DAR member photoshoots we will be bringing to several locations across the country over the next year. These photoshoots will be organized in centralized locations in several different regions to allow for local DAR members – or even those who might want to travel to that location – to participate in a professional photoshoot capturing staged and simulated DAR activities.

These professional photos of DAR members across the country will help to supplement the other DAR photos we hope that you will all continue to submit throughout the year to the Dropbox folder.

Our first DAR Member Photoshoot will take place this month in Dallas, Texas, on Saturday, November 19!

Any DAR member – not just Texas Daughters! – are invited to participate in this photoshoot in Dallas. In order to receive more detailed information about the specific location, time and other instructions for the Dallas photoshoot, you must email by November 13 to express your interest/intent to attend at [email protected].

In your email RSVP, please provide your: 1) Name, 2) DAR National Number, 3) DAR Chapter Name/Location, 5) Confirm email address, and 5) Any special notes or questions you might have regarding the photoshoot.

More detailed instructions will be emailed ahead of the November 19 photoshoot to all those who expressed interest in attending via the [email protected] email address.

We hope that some of you will be able to join us in Dallas on November 19 – but for those of you who cannot, we will be coordinating other photoshoots in more cities around the country in 2023, so keep your eye out for more information on the Today’s DAR Blog and Members’ Announcements in the new year.
