A special feature will be offered with industry expert and keynote speaker Craig Scott on Monday evening in the DAR Library. Scott will be available for pre-scheduled one-on-one consultations with attendees, to provide customized tips on where to look ‘next’ to potentially resolve one of your vexing research challenges.
The GRI schedule also features a tour of the Library of Congress Newspaper and Current Periodical Reading Room on Tuesday evening, with optional research time. The popular behind-the-scenes tour of DAR Headquarters will be available again for those who have not previously visited our House Beautiful.
Pre-Institute Zoom sessions to provide tips on maximizing the benefits of the GRI are scheduled for mid-February, March, and April for all registrants. The first Zoom session will be held on Tuesday evening, February 13 with helpful tips such as what to bring with you and GRI attire, as well as providing an opportunity to virtually network with fellow attendees. If you don’t have a friend or family member attending with you to share hotel expenses, the February Zoom session will be a potential opportunity to make a roommate connection.
